The classes for 2016 Batch students were inaugurated on 01.08.2016 at a function held on Dr APJ Abdul Kalam Hall.
Chief Executive officer Dr.P.Sivakumar started with his motivational speech & provided the suggestions for leading a successful engineering career. 
Executive Director Prof.R.Vanitha addressed the gathering with the technological advancements & how to apply them in engineering. 
Vice-Principal Dr.M.K.Chandrasekaran suggested the things to be followed in four year engineering study.
Faculties & first year students were participated in the function.
