About Dept :

The Department of Mechanical Engineering offers B.E. degree in Mechanical Engineering from the academic year 2009-2010 onwards and M.E. degree in Engineering Design from academic year 2014-2015.

The department has a vision to create, educational facilities in general and technical to the socially, educationally and economically under privileged youth from rural areas in and around Tirupur.  The Mechanical Engineering is one of the vibrant departments in Angel College of Engineering and Technology and it strives to instill interest among angelites for their overall development.

The goal of the Mechanical Engineering curriculum is to create a flexible education in design, mathematics, modeling, computing, management, engineering science, humanities, social sciences and fine arts. The faculty members with diversified specialization such as Engineering design, CAD/CAM, Thermal Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering and Industrial Engineering are committed and also experienced in teaching. The department has organized guest lectures, industrial visits, in-house demos, value added courses, seminars, workshops, design contests, symposium and conferences   to supplement the theories for the students to reach the pinnacle of success.

The Mechanical Engineering Department strives to be recognized globally for outstanding academic education and research leading to well-qualified engineers, who are innovative, entrepreneurial and successful in advanced fields of engineering and research. And also to prepare graduates who will create new ways to meet society’s needs with their knowledge of Mechanical Engineering, in addition to develop the ability among students to synthesize data and technical concepts for application to product design.

  • To develop linkages with world class R&D organizations and educational institutions in India and abroad for excellence in teaching, research and consultancy practices.
 Objective

Our department provides Mechanical Engineering majors a high-quality engineering education and contributes new knowledge through research in Mechanical Engineering and allied disciplines. In addition, the department seeks to maintain recognition through scholarly work and service to the college, the industry and the external community.
